Comprehensive Thyroid Care

The evaluation and management of thyroid conditions is becoming very complex. Diagnostic testing is becoming more specific in identifying and classifying types of thyroid diseases; of which many are benign conditions. Testing for the possibility of thyroid cancer has also become very complicated as molecular and genetic testing options proliferate. For indeterminate nodules, options for therapy and surveillance are also increasing.

Dr. Harding is an expert in thyroid care and provides all aspects of thyroid evaluation, including advanced neck and thyroid ultrasound, as well as fine needle and core needle biopsies.

He also is an expert in all surgical techniques for thyroid removal, including surgery for the advanced thyroid cancer, as well as the Endoscopic Transoral technique, which has the advantage of no visible scar.

He applies the most recent guidelines to cancer care of the thyroid gland to all variations of disease to specifically tailor the operation for each patient.

Additionally, exciting non-surgical techniques for the management of large and symptomatic thyroid nodules is now available in the clinic, which may completely eliminate the need for surgery and subsequent surgical recovery. Dr Harding is the only surgeon in the Southwest offering this treatment.
